A review of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus by StealthKing

So After A Lot Of Rumors & Renders The Samsung Flagship Duo For The First Part Of 2018 Are Here! The Galaxy S9 & S9 Plus.

OK This Is The First Time Samsung Is Going The Apple Way In Terms Of Recycling A Previous Design But Upgrading The Innards. From The Size Of The Screen, To The Batteries To The Metal Frame Sandwiched On Both Sides With Glass, The S9 Duo Are Almost Identical To Their S8 Predecessors.

The First Noticeable Difference Is A Slight Reduction Of The Top & Bottom Bezels. Next Is The Repositioning Of The Fingerprint Sensor From The Side Of The Camera Where It Was Very Inconvenient To Say The Least, To A More Reachable Placement Under The Camera.

Speaking Of Cameras The S9 Maintains The Single 12Megapixel Camera But Ups It’s Feature With A Variable Aperture That Can Be Toggled Between A Range Of f/1.5 To f/2.4, While The S9 Plus Got A Second 12Megapixel Telephoto  Lens With Both Cameras Aligned Vertically Instead Of Horizontally Like We Saw On The Galaxy Note 8. The Front Cameras Remain 8Megapixel With An f/1.7 Aperture. There’s An Iris Scanner On The Front & Facial Recognition Which Use The Selfie Camera.

The Next Update Are The Processors. Where Most Of The World Will Be Getting The Samsung Exynos 9810 Octa-Core Version With Four Cores Clocked At 2.8GHz & The Other Four Clocked At 1.7GHz. North America & China Will Be Getting The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Version. The RAM Remains The Same For The S9 At 4GB With 64GB ROM But The S9 Plus Gets 6GB Of RAM & 128GB Internal Storage. Both support Micro SD Cards to a Maximum of 400GB.

Perhaps One Of The Most Interesting Upgrade Is The Introduction Of AKG Stereo Speakers (I Am Leaping For Joy), Thanks To Samsung’s Aquisition Of Harman Kardon Last Year. The Bottom Speaker Works In Harmony With The Earpiece Speaker To Give a 3D Stereo Surround Sound That Samsung Says Is 40% Louder Than The S8 Duo.

On The Software Side They Come With Android 8.0 Oreo, an Improved Samsung Knox Security, AR Emojis Where You Can Take A Picture Of Yourself & It Gets Converted To A 3D Version That You Can Share On Most Social Platforms. Bixby Is Obviously Here To Stay & Samsung Claims The New Improved Version Learns From Your Phone Usage Habits & Optimizes To Make Your Experience Better & Seamless.

All In All The Super Amoled Infinity Display Is Also Here To Stay With The S9 Using The Same 5.8″ Version That Was On The S8 & The S9 Plus Having A 6.2″ Version Like The S8 Plus. Both Screens Have Quad High Definition Resolution (QHD)  Of 1440p x 2960p.

In All They Have Checked All The Errors & Complaints On The S8 Duo & Brought Out Better Versions… Apple Would Have Just Added  “s” To Last Year’s Model Name. Glad To See Samsung Is Listening To Users.
