Prince Harry has reportedly refused to sign a prenup ahead of his wedding to Meghan Markle. He was reportedly under pressure to sign one by courtiers determined to safeguard his fortune, thought be around £30 million.
But instead the 33-year-old is said to have rejected their advice to sign a prenuptial agreement. A source told the Mail Online: ‘There was never any question in Harry’s mind that he would sign a prenup. ‘He’s determined that his marriage will be a lasting one, so there’s no need for him to sign anything.’
Meghan, 36, who has an esitmated £4 million fortune, divorced her first husband Trevor Engelson after two years. Harry is thought to have around £20 million in assets and received a £10 million inheritance from his mother Princess Diana.
Columnist Sophia Money-Coutts said there rumours a prenup was being drawn up but instead Harry has followed the example of his brother and mother, neither of whom signed one. The couple are set to marry on Saturday, May 19.
