We’er sure you have all heard the rumors going around after a viral video was posted showing Abuja’s favorite spot junkyard getting demolished? Well… we wish to clarify the situation and put it to rest once and for all.
It is true that the Parks and Recreation department came to junkyard and removed an extension from our main structure that was not captured in the general approved design of the park. The extension that was removed by the Parks and Recreation department was built by junkyard on the basis of a new design that was submitted and pending approval.
We were instructed to continue business without rebuilding the terrace extension until the new design is approved. We would like to thank the FCDA and the Parks and Recreation for their understanding and support. We would also like to inform the general public that junkyard opened the next day after the unfortunate incident and has been open since then, in the same location and with the same beautiful structures and ambience that you are used to.
We take this opportunity to apologize to our esteemed customers that were affected on the day of the incident while we assure the general public that Junkyard is compliant towards the various legal bodies governing our business. To our dear beloved junkyarders, we full ground. Nothing de happen. Nothing de shele. Junkyard still de as una know am. We stand strong and will always remain dedicated to providing a beautiful environment for everyone to eat, drink and chill at Junkyard. We appreciate your patronage and hope to see you soon.
