On Sunday night, Kolade Johnson was shot and hash tags have been trending with hopes of ending the menace. But Femi Kuti, YCee and Burna Boy want us to take actions to end SARS
It’s social media age and when something happens, hash tags fly. It’s the new way we know how to grieve and call the world’s attention to our problems. In fact, it is now an almost-winning formula of seeking solutions. But Femi Kuti, YCee and Burna Boy don’t think hashtags will win this.
The average Nigerian youth is scared for his life, not knowing if a trigger hungry policeman might get offended and shoot him. In the wake of Kolade Johnson’s death, real questions are being asked and actions plotted.
For the three entertainers and many others, enough is enough. Too much words and no action would not solve the problem. They want to take actions although each man has his own idea. Burna Boy wants a physical fight.
Reacting to the issue, Burna Boy posted on his Instagram story saying, “No body should include me in any #EndSARS tag because you are wasting your time. ” See the full post below.
Femi Kuti wants a leaxeful protest and YCee wants to hit the streets. See their tweets below.

I’m over 50, but I think we should all raise over voices against injustice or it will swallow us all eventually . A peaceful protest organized very well count me in. https://t.co/owBGrm1Tr9

While all these is ongoing, the Lagos State police has released a statement on the issue. The police claimed to have taken the shooters into custody promising more disciplinary actions.
Are you satisfied by this? Do you think Nigerian youths can do more?
