The Netflix Original Series “Grace and Frankie” Premieres on June 28th

On June 28th, Netflix will premiere the 13-episode comedy series, “Grace and Frankie.” The series is based on the novel by the same name by Nora Ephron and focuses on the lives of Grace (Rosemarie DeWitt) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) after they are both widowed. The two women are close friends and decide to move in together. The show was created by Ephron and Tomlin.

President Trump Continues To Build Up The Border Wall

President Trump is working on building a wall along the southern border of the United States. On May 5th, the White House issued a statement about the ongoing construction of the border wall.

Kendrick Lamar was presented with a humanitarian award at the Billboard Awards on Monday, June 11. Lamar was honored with the Humanitarian Award for his work with organizations like the Hip Hop D.O.G.S. Foundation, and his involvement with the Compton Unified School District. Lamar was joined by fellow nominees Alicia Keys, Alicia Keys, and Justin Timberlake.

The award is given to artists who “have made an outstanding contribution to humanity through their music.” Lamar’s win comes just a few days after the rapper won the Pulitzer Prize for his album DAMN.

After a day of back-to-back announcements from the Emmys, the 2019 Academy Awards are finally here! The 2019 Oscars took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday, March 4. The 89th Academy Awards were hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, former talk show host, and current late-night host, Jane Lynch.

Hosting duties were handed over to Lynch when the comedian couldn’t make it back to Los Angeles in time for the show. Lynch and Kimmel hosted the show together for the first time, and the two seem to have a great rapport.

Taylor Swift is taking her music into the digital realm, with a new album called “Reputation” to be released on June 10th. Swift, who has previously released songs digitally only for promotion purposes, said she was excited to make a more “traditional” album available for purchase.

A representative from Swift’s label said that the album will be available for purchase in both digital and physical form. Swift’s first album “Fearless” was released in 2012 and was the first album released on her label, Big Machine Records.

In related news, Swift is also planning to release a song from her upcoming album called “Delicate” next week.

Taylor Swift’s “Reputation” album will be released June 10th.
